Who honestly cares about a rumour. Sony will be just fine. Especially after the $399 PS3, even though I don't want one because I want backwards compatibility so I can play the games I didn't get the chance to such as FFXII, Okami, etc.
Japanese interest in the 360 means alot more Japanese support in the way of games available for the 360. I personally really like many Jaspanese games. I grew up on, and continue to play Japanese games and the more they like the 360 the more games we will see for the system.
Then who was working on God of War 2? GoW2 was to good to be done by anyone other than those that did the first game. I (imho) think that it will be 2009 for GOW3 because they want pure perfection from that game. I, presonally, look forward to both games greatly.
Everything is about money in any company, other than a non profit organization. Money is #1 on any buisnesses plan, even if they have good intentions with the business.

Never got that chance, as I had to sell my PS2 before it came out for financial reasons. Also wouldn't hurt to go back and play some of my favorites when I get the chance, such as ICO, SotC, God of War 1 and 2, etc...I would like backwards compatability personally, but don't want to pay 500-600 for that option.
If it has been 2 months now (I actually don't believe you, but if...) you need to call and gripe at customer service. They will send you a new game for your troubles. I had my choice between PGR3, Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero when it took them a week to send out my coffin to me. Even with that it only took 3 weeks to get my system back from the first time I called them.
Have sold well over a million copies on both systems the series is currently on, and you say they dont sell well?
That game alone will make it worth it. I love psychadelic visuals, thats why I love my 360 Music player visualization software, but to be able to interact phsically with the visuals takes the cake.
No way they are gonna sell 2 million a month for the next 6 months. I doubt they could produce that many systems in that timeframe, although I could be wrong.

Although bungie are the biological parents, I dont think you will ever see a Halo game on any system Microsoft doesnt want it on, and thats a pretty much garunteed no PS3.
